Art Room Policies & Safety Procedures

• First and last name, period, art level, and date are to be written on the back of everything you turn in. 

• You must have permission to leave the classroom.  You must sign out and take a pass when leaving the art room

• Do not misuse scissors, rulers, compasses or other tools.

• Use X-acto knives only after demonstration and in designated area with cutting mat or cardboard under while cutting so that you don’t damage the table.

• Wipe up any spills.  This included wiping out the sink when washing out brushes.

• If you are unsure about how to use a tool – ASK!

• Keep your work area clean and leave it cleaner than you found it.

• Follow proper disposal methods for your products as indicated on the label or directed by Miss Fortuna.  DO not dump materials down the drain unless indicated to do so (especially clay slip, plaster, turpentine, etc…)

• Late work policy:  Students will lose 5 points off of score for each day late.
