Student in fourth grade music build upon their prior knowledge.  They continue to explore pulse, note values, time signatures (6/8), and improvisation.  Students explore musical form, timbre, and harmony through instrument play and movement.  Recorders are used often in fourth grade music classes.  

Fourth grade students have the opportunity to join the 4th Grade Chorus where proper vocal technique is reinforced and expanded.
