2023-2024 Kindergarten Registration Open

February 1, 2023

Dear Parents and Guardians:

The Freeport Area School District has initiated Kindergarten student registration for the 2023-2024 school year.  A streamlined online registration system is in place to facilitate the registration process and efficiently manage all required paperwork.

Parents/guardians intending to enroll a student in Kindergarten for the 2023-2024 school year will complete the preregistration form available here.  The preregistration window will close on March 17, 2023.

What to Expect After Submitting a Kindergarten Registration Form

  • Incoming Kindergarten students will undergo screenings in hearing, vision, speech, and kindergarten-readiness in late April/early May.
  • Parents who complete and submit their child's preregistration form before March 17 will receive an email during the first week of April with instructions for scheduling their child's screening and what documents to bring to the screening appointment.
  • These screenings will be conducted at the appropriate elementary school (Buffalo Elementary School or South Buffalo Elementary School) based on the student's residence address.

If you have any questions about Kindergarten registration, please do not hesitate to call the school office at Buffalo Elementary School (724-353-9577) or South Buffalo Elementary School (724-295-9510).

Sincerely,

Jeffrey S. Lesko
Principal
South Buffalo Elementary School

Michael R. Kleckner
Principal
Buffalo Elementary School

Please note:  To register a student to attend a Freeport Area school in the 2022-2023 school year, please contact the appropriate school office.  Please do not use the 2023-2024 Kindergarten registration form to register a student for the current school year.  Student registrations submitted for the current school year using the 2023-2024 Kindergarten registration form will be rejected.
