Welcome to Physical Education
7th & 8th grade physical education is a class to promote movement. Physical Education is broken down into two segments: Fitness and Sports
In the fitness segment, students will learn the importance of exercising. The main focus will be on technique of specific exercises. Then, students will have the opportunity to practice the same exercises in WODs ( Workouts of the Day). The goal is to provide a variety of exercises that will motivate students to establish lifelong fitness.
In the sports segment, students will learn rules and regulations for sports such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey, badmintion, and pickle ball. Sports allow students to develop skills such as sportsmanship, teamwork, appropriate social behaviors, and enhance the development of positive self- concept skills.
