Keeping parents, staff members, and community leaders informed is a top priority of the Freeport Area School District.  That’s why the District has adopted an automated notification service, BlackboardConnect.

BlackboardConnect will be used to disseminate information in the event of an emergency, and the system will be an important tool in the District's efforts to improve communication as well.  Messages regarding school delays and cancellations, after-school events, extracurricular activities, information from school principals, and other school-related information can now be shared via the Blackboard Connect system. 

When a call is initiated by the District: 

•  Caller ID will display the school's main number when general announcements are delivered. 
•  Caller ID will display 411 if the message is a dire emergency. 
•  Messages will be left on answering machines and voicemail. 

For phone calls:  If you would like to OPT OUT of receiving informational phone calls, or if you would like to OPT IN to receiving calls please call 855-502-STOP (855-502-7867) from the phone number that you would like to have removed or added.

For texts:  If you would like to OPT OUT of receiving texts, follow the instructions provided at the end of the text.  If you would like to OPT IN to receiving texts, text Subscribe FASD to 63079.

For emails:  If you would to OPT OUT of receiving informational emails, follow the instructions provided at the end of the email.  If you would like to OPT IN to receiving emails, please contact the District Administration Office.
