Career & College Readiness

Welcome to the Career and College Readiness Page!

Each School Counselor acts as his or her school's Career and College Readiness Counselor whose job is to ensure students have exposure to the world of work and to help students make smart choices about next steps after high school.  There are a variety of post secondary options for students.  College and university are not the only avenues to success.  It is important that students access their own personal interest, abilities and skills to determine what path is best for them.  The district has a wealth of opportunities for students to participate in to help guide them on their next steps.  Classroom lessons, assessments, career cruising accounts, senior internships, job shadowing and creating relationships with business and industry are just a few ways we can prepare students.

Please contact your school's School Counselor if there is a program that you would like to learn more about.
