Mr. Walters is a lifelong member of the Freeport Area School District educational community. A 2003 graduate of Freeport Area High School, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 2007 and a Master of Education degree from California University of Pennsylvania in 2014. Mr. Walters holds Pennsylvania certifications in Elementary Education, Special Education, Mid-Level Mathematics, and K–12 Principal.

Since joining the Freeport Area School District in 2008, Mr. Walters has served in a variety of educational leadership roles. He spent 11 years as a special education teacher at Freeport Area Middle School before serving three years as Middle School Principal and four years as Middle School/High School Principal. 

Mr. Walters currently serves as the Program Director for the Freeport Area School District, where he works collaboratively with students, staff, families, and community partners to support high-quality educational programs and initiatives across the district. He is committed to fostering innovation, expanding opportunities for students, and ensuring that every learner is prepared for future success. Mr. Walters looks forward to continuing to serve the Freeport Area School District and working alongside all stakeholders to advance the district's mission and vision.
