Middle School Reading Competition Team

The list for next year is out, start reading now!

The Westmoreland County Association of School Librarians in conjunction with Greensburg Salem Middle School sponsors an annual Interscholastic Reading Competition. This competition will be held at Seton Hill University on March 3rd, 2020. Teams of students from grades six through eight have the opportunity to compete against other teams to see who can correctly answer the most questions about books they have read.  Over forty nine middle school teams participate for first through tenth place in this Outstanding Reading Olympics. To be better prepared for the competition, we will have after school practice sessions on a regular basis. These will be held on one Monday per month after school until 4:00pm. We take two teams, and each student must read at least 5 books to attend the competition.
