The fourth grade art experience includes, but is not limited to:
-Continuing to explain and apply color theory knowledge.
-Practicing drawing techniques from direct observation.
-Constructing 3D art forms using recycled materials, paper mache, and/or other art material.
-Continuing to develop fine motor skills such as coloring, cutting with scissors, and clay modeling.
-Creating pottery and ceramic pieces and extending vocabulary in conversations about sculpture and clay.
Fourth grade receives a checkmark (satisfactory), plus sign (outstanding), or minus sign (needs improvement) on their report card for art class in the following categories:
1. Expresses ideas creatively.
2. Shows a concern for art supplies, materials, and equipment.
3. Demonstrates interest in art work.
