The eighth grade English course provides a balance of literature, writing, grammar, and vocabulary.  Students will master essential vocabulary, comprehension skills, and strategies while reading novels, short stories, and poetry.  Students will progress through the writing process while learning to write from various perspectives, use proper grammar, and incorporate academic vocabulary.
