I am so excited to be returning to South Buffalo Elementary!! Although this is my first "official" year in this building and position, this is my tenth year in the profession. I graduated from Carlow University in 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (K-6) and Special Education (PK-12). I have additional certificates for Library Science (PK-12) as well as Middle School Math (6-9), Science (6-9) and Social Studies (6-9).
I have spent the last five years in this district, working most recently as a Middle School Math and Learning Support teacher. Prior to that, I spent a year as the Primary Learning Support teacher at Buffalo Elementary. However, I began my Freeport tenure at South Buffalo, first working as the as the Building Tutor and Building Substitute before becoming a long-term substitute as the Librarian and Computer teacher for about a year and half. I am happy to have the opportunity to return to this position in a full-time capacity, and I am extremely excited about all of the learning we will be engaging in together this year!!! Prior to Freeport, I completed two long-term positions as a Primary Learning Support Teacher in the Pine-Richland School District, and worked in various other districts as well. I am happy to have settled into a home here at Freeport though, and I can truly say that I love working with kids, and I can't imagine being a part of any other profession! I enjoy helping and supporting students and find joy in seeing them learn and grow! I am so excited for a wonderful year and look forward to the opportunity of working with you and your child!
