The main purpose of this course is to provide students with a practical understanding of introductory programming concepts and techniques. Key topics include problem solving, controls, events, variables, decision making, repetition, arrays, handling text files, and databases. Students will have an opportunity to apply their knowledge through hands-on programs, exercises and case study assignments. Students may choose the option of receiving 3 credits from University of Pittsburgh.
