9th-Grade Honors English:  Summer Reading Requirements
 

Book 1:  Required text for all students in Honors English 9:

The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom- An objective test will be given within the first few days of school as well as other assignments and an essay.

Book 2:  Choose ONE book from the list below.   Along with a brief quiz, an in-class essay or project will be given on your reading within the first few weeks of school.

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart (contains occasional adult language)

Every Day by David Levithan (contains mild references to some adult themes)
