The "Political Dynamics/Economics" course is required for the 12th grade student. Modern concepts and problems within American society are the major points of emphasis in this course.
Content areas, which this course is designed to expose and examine, are macroeconomics and microeconomics, government, societal dynamics (with its multiple challenges), race relations, policy-making and the law. Inclusive in this yearlong undertaking are the following Political Science topics: Political Parties and the Electoral Process (especially following Robert Mueller’s investigation into the 2016 Presidential Election!!), Political Philosophy, and the analyses of Legislative, Executive and Judicial Processes. This course is designed to promote understanding of these subject/problem/issue areas into modern times and their applicability. The dynamics of international, national, state and local politics will be the focus of study.
