I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to 6^th Grade Math in our beautiful Middle School! I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child throughout the upcoming year.  Sixth Grade is a crucial year as we begin to explore math topics that will build the foundation for higher level math.  With sixth grade comes new information, new responsibilities, and new opportunities.   I have high expectations for all of my students and with your support, we will have a successful school year! 
            I would like to introduce myself to you.  My name is Mrs. Kristin Lowery.  I have been teaching in the Freeport Area School District since 2008.  I earned an Elementary Education degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Gannon University.  I enjoy learning various teaching methods that I can apply to my everyday instruction to meet the needs of my students.  Math has always been a passion of mine and I hope to pass that along to your child.  As your child’s teacher, it is my goal to help them become a confident learner and I will make certain that they have a positive learning experience.
