The sophomore Modern US History 3 course is a continuation of studies of US History from freshman year. Our course will begin with the Allied victory in World War II and follow changes in US society, politics, technology and culture occurring at home as well as the foreign policy challenges and decisions made during the Cold War and its aftermath.  Students will hone reading skills, note taking, research and writing as well learning to work within groups to create and defend their beliefs and perspectives. The course will follow closely the headlines of the day and attempt to make sense of these events through the lens of American history.
