Keeping parents, staff members, and community leaders informed is a top priority of the Freeport Area School District.  That’s why the District has adopted an automated notification service, SchoolMessenger Communication.

SchoolMessenger will be used to disseminate information in the event of an emergency, and the system will be an important tool in the District's efforts to improve communication as well.  Messages regarding school delays and cancellations, after-school events, extracurricular activities, information from school principals, and other school-related information can now be shared via the SchoolMessenger system.

OPT IN and OPT OUT instructions, for the FASD SchoolMessenger Communication System:

For phone calls:  If you would like to OPT OUT of receiving informational phone calls, follow the instructions at the end of the call.  If you are not receiving phone calls from your child's school, please contact his/her school office and provide your phone number.

For text messages:  If you would like to OPT OUT of receiving text messages, text STOP to 67587 at any time.  To OPT IN to receiving text messages, text Y to 67587.

For email messages:  If you would to OPT OUT of receiving informational email messages, follow the instructions provided at the end of the email.  If you are not receiving email messages from your child's school, please contact his/her school office and provide your current email address.
