School Device Protection Program

Last Updated: 5/16/2022 3:24 PM

All students in the Freeport Area School District will be issued a district owned device.  If the device is damaged, lost or stolen the parent/guardian will be charged the full cost of the repair or replacement of the device.  Please be aware, replacement costs for Chromebooks range from $250 to $350, while laptops range from $300 to $600.

The District highly encourages parents/guardians to participate in the District's Damage Waiver Program through one2onerisk.com to avoid the high cost of repairing or replacing a damaged device.  To encourage high participation, the program is designed to be very low cost and enrollment is easy at one2onerisk.com.

The District's Damage Waiver Program is run on an annual basis, and therefore parents/guardians must re-enroll at the start of each school year in order to participate.

Once you are enrolled, if your device is damaged, lost or stolen, you will be able to easily file a claim at one2onerisk.com.  Deductibles for each claim have also been set at very low levels, including the first claim at no cost.  Please see below for further information regarding the annual costs and deductible schedule:

Annual Costs Per Device/Student
Annual Damage Waiver $15
Annual Damage Waiver (Free & Reduced) No Cost*

Deductible - 1st Incident No Cost
