Connect Notification System

Keeping parents, staff members, and community leaders informed is a top priority of the Freeport Area School District.  That’s why the District has adopted an automated notification service, Connect.

Connect will be used to disseminate information in the event of an emergency, and the system will be an important tool in the District's efforts to improve communication as well.  Messages regarding school delays and cancellations, after-school events, extracurricular activities, information from school principals, and other school-related information can now be shared via the Connect system. 

When a call is initiated by the District: 

•  Caller ID will display the school's main number when general announcements are delivered. 
•  Caller ID will display 411 if the message is a dire emergency. 
•  Messages will be left on answering machines and voicemail. 

 

OPT IN and OPT OUT instructions, for the FASD Connect Messaging System:

For phone calls:  If you would like to OPT OUT of receiving informational phone calls, or if you would like to OPT IN to receiving calls, please call 855-502-7867 from the phone number that you would like to have removed or added and follow the voice prompts.

For text messages:  If you would like to OPT OUT of receiving texts, follow the instructions provided at the end of the text.  To OPT IN:  For Emergency messages, send a text to 23177 and type START FASD in the body of the message.  For Outreach messages, send a text to 53291 and type START FASD in the body of the message.

For email messages:  If you would to OPT OUT of receiving informational email messages, follow the instructions provided at the end of the email.  If you would like to OPT IN to receiving email messages, please contact the District Administration Office.
