Dear Parent(s) and/or Guardian(s):

The Freeport Area School District Department of Music is committed to the education and well-being of
the students, families, and community within the Freeport Area School District. Our event on April 4th,
Freeport Celebrates Music, was scheduled to showcase the talented students in grades four thru twelve
in various bands and choirs. Over 400 student performers have been preparing for this inaugural event.
Along with those performers, well over 1,000 community members were expected to be in attendance.
Due to the current health and safety issues, it has been decided, with guidance and support of the
Freeport Area School District Administration, that our Freeport Celebrates Music event will be canceled
and not rescheduled for this school year. We feel that this is in the best interest of all performers and
attendees.

As of this time, our Freeport Celebrates Music event on April 4th is the only department event that is
being canceled. Currently, all department concerts that are scheduled within the month of May are still
scheduled to occur.

Thank you for your continued support of music education within the Freeport Area School District. We
are looking forward to seeing you in attendance at future performances!

Mrs. Jennifer Dell
Mr. Robert Harris
Mr. Thomas Koharchik
Mr. Mark Ortego
