Kindergarten registration open through March 16

February 1, 2018

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Freeport Area School District has initiated the process of Kindergarten registration for the 2018-2019 school year.

Please note that in order to attend Kindergarten in 2018-2019, your child must be at least five (5) years old on September 1, 2018.

The District uses a streamlined online registration system to facilitate the process and successfully manage all required paperwork.  You will need to create an lnfoSnap family account with a valid email address if you do not already have an InfoSnap family account.  If you have an lnfoSnap account but cannot remember your password, you may contact the lnfoSnap support line for technical assistance at 866-752-6850.

Parents/guardians intending to enroll a student in Kindergarten for the 2018-2019 school year will complete the preregistration form available here.

The preregistration window will close on March 16, 2018

Next Steps:  Parents who complete and submit a preregistration form before March 16 will receive an email during the last week of March about how to schedule their child's Kindergarten screening and what documents to bring to the screening appointment.  Incoming Kindergarten students will undergo screenings in hearing, vision, speech, and kindergarten readiness in early May.  These screenings will be conducted at the appropriate elementary school (Buffalo Elementary School or South Buffalo Elementary School) based upon the student's residence address.

If you have any questions about Kindergarten registration, please do not hesitate to call the school office at Buffalo Elementary School (724-353-9577) or South Buffalo Elementary School (724-295-9510).

Sincerely,
