Why does the PTO need so much help?

There are approximately 680 students that attend Buffalo Elementary.
There are 24 homeroom classes in Buffalo Elementary.

We have 32 committees that need chair people and volunteers to help run them for the students benefit. Each class needs assistance during the Book Fairs, Santa Land, Field Day, Field Trips and our 3 holiday parties. But in order to have such events we need fundraisers. When we have fundraiser, we need help to sort the items and hand them out. If we do not have the help, we cannot have the fundraiser. If there is no fundraiser there will be none of the above or a PTO. The PTO makes every effort to make the students time at Buffalo an enjoyable, memorable, learning experience. But help is desperately needed and attendance is needed at the monthly meetings to ensure we can keep such events.
