Issues will be posted here throughout the school year
The Yellow Jacket Newsletter is a student run organization. All students grades 9-12 are welcome to join and meetings are usually held every other week. The meetings are run by the student editor and are used to help brainstorm ideas for future issues and to assign article topics. The newsletter itself is generally used to get information about current happenings out to the student body, but we always welcome new ideas. Recently the students have added a“students speak out” column where students get to debate about pressing issues and an “Where in the World” section that keeps the students up to date on politics and current world news. Paid advertisements are also included in the newsletter; this gives the organization the funding it needs to professionally print the senior issue, which is significantly longer and usually in color. Other issues of the Yellow Jacket newsletter are usually put out three times a year and are sold by staff members during the school day.
